I'm sooooooooooooooooooo glad to be back. :)
Yes, I was gone. Lol. For..2 1/2 days? Mmm, I went to Sepang for a missions trip. This was organised by the Missionettes. Missionettes are girls aged 3-18 and boys aged 3-5 that meet up every Sunday evening (except the last Sunday of every month), to introduce them to Jesus Christ and train them to follow Him.
So the Missionettes planned this missions trip for the older Missionettes (from 11 years old onwards) to preach God's word to the kids in an outreach church there in Sepang. We organised a VBS (Vacation Bible School) for those children (aged 5-13) for 3 days. And because they were mostly chinese-educated (only a few who didn't understand Chinese), we had to tell them Bible stories in 2 languages: English and Chinese.
And lemme tell you this, these kids are NOT easy to handle. Nuh-uh. Not easy. At all. They make a lot of noise, don't listen to you, talk back, create quarrels, cry... Yeah, you get my point. But gradually, spending time with them these few days, you understand each of them more, are able to identify those who cause you trouble, know which one to talk to and which one to keep away from. Hahaha.. I was kidding on that last bit. ;P
Other than that, we stayed in a pretty nice place, Calvaryland. Owned by the church I grew up in, Calvary Church, it's purpose was to bring in and shelter the old folks, the handicapped, the unwed mothers and the orphans, I think. We all stayed in the childrens block. There wasn't any warm water in that block, so for that two and a half days, we all learnt to bear with the cold. It wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be, actually. It just takes you a little while to get used to that temperature.
Besides that, we also learnt to tahan sleeping on the floor. Painful you knoww. Our sleeping bags aren't exactly cushion-y. Lol. But it's okay, we survived. Hahaa. Oh yeahh, they rared animals at Calvaryland as well. There were chickens, roosters, ducks, geeses and turkeys. You heard me right, turkeys. Two of them. I wonder if they were keeping it for thanksgiving..? o__O
Ahaha, I have no pictures at the moment to show you what's been the cause of my headaches (backaches, body aches and everything else) lately. When I get pictures, I'll post'em up. For now..since it's Thanksgiving today, I shall continue this post about being thankful and all.
I've noticed that most humans are usually:
Selfish
Greedy

Hahaha, okay. Maybe that wasn't the best picture to put. Oliver Twist wasn't greedy, he just wasn't fed enough. All the orphans there weren't.
But back to my point, if you really think it through. All (Most) of us are really either selfish or greedy, maybe even both.
Selfish.
In our everyday life, we only do things that we ourselves benefit from. Okay fine, occasionally, maybe our friends/family benefit too. But still, MOST of the time, everything we do is for ourself.
Greedy.
I find that humans are really greedy creatures. Haha yeah, I mean myself as well. We're never contented about what we have. Even if we are, it usually doesn't last long till we find something else that we desire. And even if we have something, for example, love or attention from someone we love (this happens especially to little children and their parents). They want attention from their parents like..24/7. I've been with kids a lot lately, I can tell. Haha. Like times when the parent is trying to talk to his/her friend, or the kid's teacher or something, and the child saw/did something they found really interesting.
"MOMMY MOMMY! MOMMY MOMMY!"
*Mom talking with her friend*
"MOMMYYYYY!!!"
*Kid starts pulling the mom's hands/clothes*
Yeah, those are times when they don't get their parents' attention, and then get unhappy. Same with us teens, if we just change the situation slightly. I'm sure you all get what I mean. ;)
I admit, I am both of the above mentioned. Selfish and greedy. Sometimes I'm selfish, asking/telling my friends things that only concern me. I'm sure I bore them to death with my grandmother stories. xD And at other times, I'm greedy, asking for a ruler when given an inch. Again, I'll bet I've annoyed my closest friends very much, when I do this.
And guys, if you're reading this and you understand what I'm trying to say, and that it IS true. I'm really really really very sorry. Lol, I know I've been a pain in the neck.
Also, since it's Thanksgiving, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank God, my family and my friends
- for bearing with my terrible attitude. x)
- for doing your best to cheer me up when I was looking my worst.
- for helping me from my slightest to biggest problems.
- for sharing my joy and pain.
- for being there at all times.
- for all the memories that we've had.
- for everything.
Now, here's a challenge. Try making it a habit, instead of just on Thanksgiving Day. Start treating people a little nicer, do a little bit more for others, and smile a whole lot to everyone. I do believe it will lift up one's spirits, lighten their burden, or make their day a whole lot better. Just by your little favour. :)

- coz' i've got you to make me feel stronger.
